The Community of believers at South Peninsula was constituted in 1957 as South Peninsula Baptist Church, in cooperation with the Halifax Baptist Association, the Florida Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We were established to fill a need in the southern area of the Peninsula, and we have continuously been a beacon to the beachside neighborhoods.
Today we have a new vision, with fresh revelations from God. We believe that God has placed us in this community to minister to this community. Our community is a diverse mixture from all walks of life, and it is our desire that the missions and ministries of our congregation are as diverse as our community. At South Peninsula you will find a wide variety of worship opportunities, a little bit traditional; with a bit of contemporary; alongside of some technological innovations in worship. All of this without compromising the Word of God. We are a dynamic, growing congregation with a strong sense of a family and a willingness to try something new to reach out.
We are looking for people who will share our dream of reaching our community. We want people who are looking for God to do something extraordinary with ordinary people. We are looking for you! We are YOUR community church!
What We Believe
The Church - Gods Community
Community is the watchword for Gods church. At South Peninsula we are a community of baptized believers unified through faith. It is our responsibility to reach out in a loving way to the area where we live. We believe in accountability to one another, and more importantly accountability to Jesus Christ as our Lord. Through this community we can be a positive influence in our neighborhood.

The Bible - God's Word
The Bible is Gods love letter to mankind. Though the Bible was written centuries ago, the principles and truths found in its pages continue to be relevant to us today. It is a perfect treasure of divine instruction. It has God for its author, salvation for its end, and truth, without any mixture of error, for its matter. All scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is the focus of Gods revelation to man.

God - Three in One
There is only one living and true God. God has existed for all eternity and exists as one entity manifested in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.

Man - A Reflection of God
Man is made in the image of God, and is the supreme object of His creation. We were created to have fellowship with God, but through sin that relationship was broken. Every human is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect and Christian love. It is the purpose of the South Peninsula Community to help man repair the broken relationship with God and encourage a closer walk with God.

Salvation - The One True Way
The blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation through the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin. Salvation is a gift from God and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.
